Climate change threatens mountain ecosystems and the people that depend on them. The IPCC states that the magnitude of climate change impacts increases with altitude. Hence mountain ecosystems will be the first affected and will experience the most severe changes over time. This event will examine the impacts of climate change on mountain livelihoods, food and ecosystems, and identify strategies for effective Community Based Adaptation (CBA) in mountains.
