Stakeholder engagement, ISO and corporate social responsibility: CSR standardisation issue papers 1-3
IIED partnered with five sustainable development organisations to produce three briefing papers looking at key issues related to the development of international standards on corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The papers were produced ahead of work by the International Organization for Standardization to develop ISO26000, the international guidance standard on social responsibility.
The briefing papers looked at the following topics: ~• stakeholder capacity to engage in the CSR agenda ~• small and medium-sided enterprises (SMEs), and ~• national differences in CSR definitions and priorities.
While written with an international focus, the papers drew especially on insights from Chile, India and South Africa.
