The April 2001 issue of Environment and Urbanization includes evaluations of urban projects or programmes funded by US AID, the World Bank, DFID, Sida, NORAD and UNICEF, along with papers considering the constraints on donor effectiveness. There are also papers on participatory budgeting in Brazil, a fund for community initiatives in Uganda, poverty mapping in Argentina, mapping infrastructure deficiencies in Salvador, community-based watershed management and links between poverty and transport.
