Documents a field study undertaken in the Hadejia-Nguru wetlands in northern Nigeria as part of the Hidden Harvest research project. The Hadejia-Nguru wetlands play a major role in the regional economy of northern Nigeria. Recent attempts have been made to value the production of most of the major sub-systems of the Hadejia-Jama'are floodplain, however, there is little economic information on the economic importance of other wild resources harvested on the floodplain. This study was a first attempt to assess this.
