The Tips for Trainers section of Participatory Learning and Action 62 (PLA 62) provides insights, tools and resources for participatory facilitators.

Maruja Salas' article is aimed at teams of trainers or facilitators who are engaged in building the capacities of development workers in participatory action research (PAR). She looks at the concept of `action reflection action' (ARA) and describes some participatory tools for exploring perceptions of time, space and knowledge.

Johanna Pennarz describes the elements of the learning system devised during the implementation of the Poor Rural Communities Development Project (PRCDP) in China.

The third article provides the profiles of institutions in China which are actively involved in participatory training, and lists their training materials.
