Using participatory learning and action (PLA) in understanding and planning an adolescent life planning and reproductive health programme in Nigeria (PLA Notes 46)
This paper looks at the use of participatory techniques to assess the behaviour and sexual health of adolescents in Nigeria, and how the information generated was used to influence both the teaching methods used and the topics covered in the curriculum to ensure the greatest impact.
Participatory Learning and Action is the world’s leading informal journal on participatory approaches. Guest editors provide up-to-the minute accounts of participatory approaches in specific fields. Since 1987, PLA has provided a forum for participatory practitioners – community workers, activists and researchers – to share experiences, reflections and methodological innovations with others, providing a genuine ‘voice from the field’.
