On 30-31 October 1997, the European Commission hosted its first Sustainable Development Roundtable in Kampala, Uganda. Tha aim of the Roundtable was to review EC development assistance in Uganda according to sustainable development criteria and generate recoomendations for improving the future performance of EC aid.
